Located in the historic
fortress of Montalcino, the Enoteca focuses on selling the famous
Brunello and Rosso wines of the region.
An 8 bottle, 3 volume
enoline model is installed behind the wine bar and operated by
the staff. It is used to serve the finest and most expensive premium
wines.
Customers can select
from a taste (30mls), half glass (60mls) or full glass (120mls)
of famous wines such as Ornellaia, Tignanello, Biondi Santi and
Sassicaia (selling for € 25 per glass). The opportunity
to sample wines such as these is very popular with customers who
would very rarely be able to purchase such wines.
As a result of the success
of the initial installation, the Enoteca will be installing 2
additional enoline models to increase the number of wines offered
for tasting to 24.
Customers can enjoy
their wine tasting outside in the fortress compound and order
bruschetta and cheese platters.
